People often use the word Timbuktu to describe a place that is hard to find, or even a mythical place that doesn't even exist. Most people don't know where the real Timbuktu is, and in some ways, it doesn't really matter. It does, however, illustrate the fact that there are many people who need to hear the gospel message, but are hidden away in places we don't know about.
