Community Transformation Training overview self-study
Interested in learning more about Global Missions but don’t have time to go to weekly missions classes or even to log in weekly at a certain time? A new model of self-study courses is being offered by the IMB.

Community Transformation Training is the wedding of human needs ministries with evangelism and church planting. While this self-study video course is introductory in nature, you will receive enough instruction to perhaps challenge your previous thinking in regards to the way you incorporate human needs strategies with evangelism and church planting.

1010 Perspectives

PERSPECTIVES
Perspectives on the World Christian Movement.
Perspectives is a class that’s taught live all over the USA and worldwide.
Here is some information from their web site.

1. Why Perspectives? Perspectives helps believers from all lifestyles see how they can be threaded into God’s story of redeeming people from every tribe, tongue, and nation to Himself. From Genesis to the prophets, Jesus Christ to the early church, and Constantine to today, you will see how God has been moving, how the global Church has responded, and what the greatest needs in world evangelization remain today. It isn’t a class about missions, but a course on how every believer can be intimately woven into the story of God using His people to be a blessing to all the peoples of the earth. Endorsements and Videos

2. Curriculum. The Perspectives Reader is a collection of the best articles by a wide variety of Biblical scholars, historians, missiologists, and practitioners. The Perspectives Study Guide helps students navigate through the Reader and ushers students through the study of God’s mission and character through the Bible, Christian history, culture, and the task remaining in world evangelization. Class activities and our unique instructor format bring the class alive to explore what God is doing in the world today.

3. Who should take Perspectives? The short answer is anyone who wants a closer walk with the Lord, who is serious about gaining a deeper understanding of His ultimate purpose in the world. It's for anyone who wants to learn how to strategically invest their lives in seeing God glorified; for anyone who wants to gain insight and direction that will help them to impact their generation. If the above describes you, no matter what your age or position, Perspectives is for you!

4. What makes Perspectives unique? There are many answers to that question. Perspectives has a unique focus. Perspectives has a long and singular track record in the business of opening students' eyes to the Bible, world history, international culture, and God's purpose for it all in a way that no other course can offer. Perspectives is also unique in that a different expert teaches each of the 15 sessions. This allows you to be exposed to people who specialize in the area they cover.

Some Testimonials:

For many Christians, Christianity is like a puzzle spilled out on the floor. Perspectives puts it all together by showing us the box top and helps us understand how missions is at the very heart of God. It not only changed my music and my ministry, but the very way I live. Scott Wesley Brown, Recording Artist; Founder & President, I CARE Ministries

We are amazed! By now thousands of students are telling us this course is a superb way to know what God is up to on this planet, and to find one's place within that spectacular new perspective. Dr. Ralph Winter, Founder, U.S. Center for World Mission

I have been involved with Perspectives in America and in Africa. I know of no other overview of missions that is as thorough and stimulating. It is well worth the time for any person interested in missions or serious about missions. Gary Hipp - CEO, Mission:Moving Mountains
