Our scripture references indicate that the churches helped Paul in at least three different ways:
Fellowship. Selection [1] "And after I have enjoyed your fellowship for a little while..." Selection [3] "I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me."
Finance. Selection [4] "you Philippians were the only ones who gave me financial help."
Prayer. Selection [6] "you are helping us by praying for us. "
