INTERACTIVE DISCUSSION GUIDE #1

Countries and Religions 

OBJECTIVES 

• To show there are many countries in the world that we may not be aware. 
• To remind participants about people who live in those countries who need to hear the gospel message. 
• To demonstrate ways in which we can improve our knowledge of geography. 
• To highlight the major world religions

PRAYER

• Open in prayer and ask the Lord to reveal to each one what he has for them. 

WORKSHEETS

• Distribute the printable Worksheet #1 to those who don't have copies of Workbook
• Note: All Worksheets are available on Dropbox. It's quick, easy, and free but you need to register or sign in.

SCRIPTURE

Ask different members of the group to read the scripture selections in the Workbooks or Worksheets:

• Read selections [1] and [2]. 
• Underline "World."  How many times does it appear?
• Find three all-inclusive words. What are they?
• Read selection [3] and [4]. 
• Underline the geographical terms, (north, south, etc.). 
• What do they collectively signify?
• Read selection [5] and [6]. 
• How does this illustrate the difference between Religion and Christianity?
• What do all these scriptures tell us about missions?

DISCUSSION

• Take the Interactive Geography Quiz with you rgroup. Click here.
• How did you do? We didn’t really expect you to know all the answers, but it certainly highlights the fact that we live in a big world, and there’s a lot to find out.
• Discuss the following questions. Find out what the group thinks.
• Is it important to know some world geography? Why or why not?
• How can we improve our knowledge of the countries of the world? (We'll give suggestions later.)
