Is Missions Really Needed?
OBJECTIVES OF THIS SESSION
- To answer some commonly held misconceptions about missions.
- To explain the motive and method behind missions.
- To show how cultures are changed by the gospel message.
- To illustrate the need for teamwork in missions.
INTRODUCTION
- If you have not met or talked to missionaries, you may have picked up negative concepts from others. We’ll explore some of those negative pictures.
PRAYER
- Open in prayer and ask the Lord to reveal to each one what he has for them.
REPORT BACK (Optional)
WORKBOOKS & WORKSHEETS
- If you assigned a volunteer at the end of the previous session to give a report on what he or she discovered in the Dig Deeper section, call on that person now.
WORKBOOKS & WORKSHEETS
- Distribute the printable Worksheet #4 to those who don't have copies of Workbook
- Note: All Worksheets are available on Dropbox. It's quick, easy, and free but you need to register or sign in.
SCRIPTURE
- Read the scripture portions in the Workbook or Worksheet.
- Underline the word, "Door."

- What do they suggest to you about missions?
DISCUSSION
Discuss the following questions with the group. See what the group thinks. When you show the video later, the group will see some responses.
